Oasys, a game-specific blockchain based on the concept of "Blockchain for Games", is a game-specific blockchain platform that launched its mainnet on Monday, December 12, 2022. Oasys Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore-based company, but it is well known that executives from well-known Japanese game companies, such as Hajime Nakatani, President of Namco Bandai Research Institute, and Shuji Utsumi, Executive Vice President of Sega, were also involved in the establishment of the project. Oasys held a pop-up store " Play the Future " in Shibuya, Tokyo, on April 15 (Sat.) and 16 (Sun.), 2023, where visitors could experience blockchain games! We visited the venue and present here a report on the event!
Arriving at the "Play the Future" venue!
It was raining on the day I visited the venue, but when I arrived, the place was packed with people! The gate at the entrance looked like the start screen of a video game. We selected "A world where memories of the game will not disappear, no matter how many years go by. I selected the "Game memories will never fade away, no matter how many years pass!
A female staff member guided us as we entered the venue!
The female staff gave us a mysterious green drink that we could wear around our necks! On the package of the drink was "Oassy", the unofficial character of Oasys! The mystery green drink was a melon soda.
We also received a booklet of " ChainGunnies," a FPS survival blockchain game that can be experienced at the event.
A paper version of "Blockchain Famitsu" produced by Famitsu was also distributed at the event. The "Blockchain Famitsu" covers the history of blockchain games as well as the latest information. Saiga NAKThe event was a lot of fun, with many people experiencing the blockchain game.
Saiga NAKCharacters from OASYX, the official IP of Oasys, were on display. OASYX is planned to collaborate with various national and international NFT projects, and will be linked to upcoming Oasys games and OAS tokens, giving OASYX powerful utility within the Oasys ecosystem. There are also plans to utilize OASYX characters as metaverse avatars in the future!
Original T-shirts of popular characters "UKA" and "YATAGARASU" from the NFT project "OASYX" were given away! The "UKA" and "YATAGARASU" are printed on the T-shirts and look very cool.
Experience the blockchain game "ChainGunnies"!
Saiga NAKWe had an early experience with the blockchain game "ChainGunnies"! The Zombunnies, with their glowing red eyes looming in the dimly lit air, are quite terrifying and powerful. By completing missions in the game, you can also evolve the NFT "Oassy (Chain Verse edition)" distributed by Blockchain Famitsu. This was a unique experience in a blockchain game where you can use your own assets in the game.

At this pop-up store, the NFT "Oassy (Chain Verse edition)" was used in the actual game "ChainGunnies" on Oasys (Chain Verse), and visitors were able to use their own NFT while actually playing the game. The audience was able to enjoy the unique experience of playing a blockchain game, using their own NFTs while actually playing the game. In addition, Oasys' first NFT project "OASYX" was on display, T-shirts were given away, and a booklet about Oasys was distributed and explained in detail by the staff, making the event enjoyable even for first-time visitors.
