We interviewed Yuttabb (@yuttabb ) , the winner of the main tournament "MELTY BLOOD TYPE LUMINA" at the fighting game festival "EVO Japan 2026" held at Tokyo Big Sight from May 1 (Fri) to 3 (Sun), 2026. We had an interview with Yuttabb (@yuttabb ), the winner of the "MELTY BLOOD TYPE LUMINA" tournament!
Interview with Yuttabb, the winner of the Melbula Type Lumina division!
- How do you feel now?
Yuttabb: I'm really happy to have won because I've been working hard since the last EVO Japan 2025 to get revenge.
- How did you feel this year after EVO Japan 2025?
Yuta: I was worried about the two-loar part, so I chose Jade and practiced for this tournament about six months ago. I think it paid off this time, so I want to give myself a pat on the back (laughs).
- How do you feel about the final match?
Yuta: My opponent, Moai, is a very strong player when he gets into the mood, and when he took the first three games and reset the game, I thought the game was going badly. I am glad that I managed to get back into the game.
- Even after the reset, you continued to use Jade.
Yuta: My other character, Mariou, did not have a very good win rate against Moai-san. It was not that Jade was good, but that I had to try! I felt like I had to do it.
- At the end of the game, there was a surprise announcement of the next game "MELTY BLOOD: TWI-LUMINA".
Yuta: I'm super happy. To be honest, I thought I would have to wait for a few more years, and even if there was an announcement, I thought there would be only minor adjustments. I was really surprised and looking forward to it!
- Are there any new characters you are looking forward to seeing?
Yuta: I'm happy to see Ren, who was just shown in the video, because I've always wanted to see him in the game.
