The Japan eSports Union, commonly known as JeSU, has announced that the Japan national team candidates for Identity V - Asian Games Version (hereafter, Identity V) at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 have been decided.
Looking toward the main tournament held in Aichi and Nagoya this September, the selection of representative players is expected to accelerate further.

At the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 scheduled for Aichi and Nagoya in September 2026, esports will be implemented as an official medal event, following the previous Hangzhou Games.
In response, JeSU is selecting players to become candidates for TEAM JAPAN (the Japan national team) for nine titles across seven events.
The decision on the Japan national team candidates for Identity V, which is one of the participating titles, has now been announced.
JeSU featured Identity V in the 2023 and 2024 National Prefectural Competitive Esports Championships.
They have been working hard to develop the domestic competitive scene.

Based on performance and match quality in official tournaments held from the autumn of 2025 through the winter, the following players were selected as representative candidates.
In the future, they will be recommended by JeSU as Japan national team candidates and are expected to be officially confirmed after approval by the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC), which organizes TEAM JAPAN. The candidates are as follows:
