NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. will hold the "MASTERCUP TRY TOKYO 2019", a 1-on-1 tournament for "Tekken 7" organized by Universal Gravity and MASTERCUP, on Sunday, September 22. The tournament will be officially sanctioned by the Japan eSports Union (JeSU).

Issuance of professional licenses

The top scorers of the "MASTERCUP TRY TOKYO 2019" to be held on September 22, 2019 will be issued with a number of "Japan eSports Pro Licenses" according to the number of entrants in the tournament.
Players who earn a professional license will be eligible to participate in an invitational tournament with prize money and the Japan preliminary round.
The regulations for earning a pro license in this tournament are as follows.

Regulations for obtaining a professional license
(1) Outline The top finishers of this tournament will be awarded with a "Tekken 7" professional license.

Japan e-Sports Union (JeSU)
(2) Entry Requirements (1) Players who are 15 years old or older and reside in Japan.
 *For foreign nationals, players who meet the following conditions
 ⇒Players whose residence card has no work restrictions, or who are permitted to engage in activities other than those permitted under the status of residence even if there are work restrictions.
(2) Players who do not possess a professional license
(3) Number of issued The number of winning rights issued will be determined based on the final number of entries.
200 or more players => Maximum top 3 players / 150-199 players => Maximum top 2 players / 100-149 players => Maximum top 1 player
(4) Eligibility for issuance The right to acquire a professional license will be awarded to players who achieve the top results within the number of licenses issued as stipulated in (3) above.
In the event that a player who has earned the right to obtain a professional license waives the right, the player will not be moved up in the rankings.

Pre-entry is required to participate.

"MASTERCUP TRY TOKYO 2019" requires advance entry from the official MASTERCUP website.
The deadline for entry is Saturday, September 7, 2019, and there is no entry fee.
This tournament is sure to attract a lot of attention, as it is a chance to become a professional.
