Chocotto Land and Chocotto Land SP Draw the Curtain on Approximately 20 Years of History

Online RPGs Chocotto Land and Chocotto Land SP reached this decision after determining that realistic maintenance had become difficult due to the aging of the systems supporting the games and the increasingly complex internal architecture resulting from many years of operations.

Chocotto Land is an online RPG that began official service in 2007.
While service was provided for many years as an easily accessible game, it will now be drawing the curtain on roughly 20 years of history.

Additionally, the operations team revealed that preparations are underway for a Special Memorial Site allowing fans to look back on the history of Chocotto Land, alongside a Memorial App that lets players continue enjoying the game's designs even after service concludes.

Message From the Chocotto Land Operations Team

In February 2007, Chocotto Land began as an MORPG where players could easily embark on casual adventures.
Afterward, the game expanded to mobile phones and smartphones, allowing players to set off on adventures from anywhere.
With every new map and monster added, the world of Chocotto Land gradually expanded.
Distinctive pixel-art characters brought color to this world.
Job changes created boundless freedom in how each adventurer chose to play.
And along the way came countless memorable episodes.
We feel deeply saddened that we will no longer be able to deliver the stories and events accumulated over nearly 20 years to all of you in the future.
Through inquiries and surveys, we received a wide range of opinions and requests from everyone over the years.
While we engaged in repeated discussions to realize as many of them as possible, there were also many we could not fulfill.
For that, we offer our sincere apologies.
In response to the letter published recently on the official Hange website, we also received numerous comments regarding Chocotto Land.
We read every single one of them, including warm words of encouragement, candid feedback regarding our past operations, and suggestions for the future.
Within them were written memories of youth stretching from childhood to the present, precious moments spent adventuring alongside friends, and the ongoing joy of spending time in Chocotto Land today.
We deeply recognize anew that Chocotto Land is not merely a game, but a presence profoundly intertwined with the time you have spent in the past and continue to spend today.
To everyone who loves and supports Chocotto Land, our entire operations team extends our heartfelt gratitude.
Thank you so very much.
To ensure that everyone can enjoy Chocotto Land until the very last day, we will continue our operations with full responsibility.
