Square Enix has announced the release date of " FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster " for Nintendo Switch 2. The downloadable version will be released on Thursday, July 23, 2026, and the packaged version on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster" is an HD remaster of " FINAL F ANTASY X" and its sequel " FINAL FANTASY X-2 " released in 2001. The story of a boy named Tida and his summoner Yuna, who face the great threat of Sin, is brought back to life with the beautiful graphics of the Nintendo Switch 2.
The game features a "Game Boost" function that changes the game speed, character enhancements, and encounter rate. Players who want to progress quickly through the story can enjoy the game in their own way, as well as those who want to take their time and play through the game.
The downloadable version will be released on July 23, 2026 (Thursday), and the packaged version on August 27, 2026 (Thursday). Pre-orders are already being accepted at the Nintendo Store.
