Metroid Ravenous Confirmed to Launch on Thursday, January 28, 2027!
The acclaimed Metroid franchise is renowned for its 2D exploration-based action starring intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran.
The first brand-new series entry in five years, Metroid Ravenous, is officially confirmed to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on Thursday, January 28, 2027!
During the Nintendo Direct 9.9.2026, Nintendo premiered a new two-minute trailer revealing the beginning of the story and key gameplay sequences.
A New Journey for Samus Begins! A Story of Sustaining Life
Surviving the Subterranean Depths
Crash-landing on an uncharted satellite moon, Samus is ambushed by an enigmatic hostile group and plummets into the subterranean depths, battered and severely wounded.
Aiming to survive and escape an alien underground world teeming with bizarre flora and fauna, forge a path forward while reawakening and evolving your abilities.
Devour to Survive, Consume to Prevail
Samus awakens to her latent Metroid ability to siphon life energy from her prey.
Parry enemy attacks and instantly predate upon staggered foes.
Surviving by consuming your quarry—it is a core mechanic where feeding directly sustains your life.
Five Assassins Stand in Her Path
The Space Ninjas who ambushed Samus on the surface stand in her way—dangerous zealots fanatically devoted to the belief that devouring defeated rivals grants them their victims' power.
Traversing intricate, twisted alien environments, engage in fierce, eat-or-be-eaten duels against Space Ninjas wielding diverse armaments!
