Alongside a message of sympathy to those affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, Nintendo announced the details of its relief support for disaster-stricken areas.
For Nintendo product repair requests from residents in areas subject to the Disaster Relief Act due to the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, Nintendo will provide free repair services from Tuesday, July 28, 2026 through Monday, February 1, 2027.
In addition, the company is donating 50 million yen in relief funds through the Japanese Red Cross Society.
Damaged, serviceable Nintendo products eligible for repairs include Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and more.
Products with discontinued repair services are excluded.
When requesting repairs using the online repair service, you must enclose either a note written with 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake and the repair application number, or a repair request form marked with 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, and send it freight collect (cash on delivery) to the Nintendo Service Center.
If you do not use the online repair service, you should enclose a note with your name, return address, phone number, product name, and symptoms in addition to 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake.
Note that repairs may not be possible depending on the condition of the product.
