Aladdin X, Inc., a company that offers a 3-in-1 projector with integrated lighting, has launched a 2-player mode for the Nintendo Switch version of its " Watermelon Game ". In the two-player mode, a total of three different modes can be played.
Two player mode is now available in the Watermelon Game!
On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, during the "Nintendo Direct Software Maker Lineup 2024.2.21," it was announced that the Nintendo Switch version of "Watermelon Game" will have a 2-player mode. Watermelon Game" has been available on Nintendo eShop since December 2021, and as of February 21, 2024, it has been downloaded more than 6 million times including Japan and other countries. In response to requests from users who wanted to enjoy the "Watermelon Game" together with multiple players, a 2-player mode was decided to be distributed on Nintendo Switch, allowing 2 players to play the usual watermelon game together.
The 2-player mode, which is now available, will feature three modes: "Original," "Time Limit," and "Attack.
Original
PR TIMESOriginal is a simple rule where the higher score wins. Play starts simultaneously and ends when a player's own box is full. The higher score at the end of each player's play is the winner.
Time Limit
PR TIMESThe time limit is a five-minute time limit within which each player competes for a score. When the "rainbow gauge" attached to the poppies that drop fruit runs out, the fruit will drop by itself. The shorter the time remaining, the faster the rainbow gauge runs out, so players must be careful. The player with the highest score at the end of the game wins.
Attack
PR TIMESIn "Attack," a player can "sink" two small fruits together to make them bigger five times, send them into the opponent's box, and drop them at any time. Send large fruits to the opponent's box to squeeze the box.
An online battle mode will be available in spring 2024!
The "Watermelon Game 2-Player Mode Additional Pack" will be available on February 21, 2024 (Wednesday ). It will be available at My Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop for 180 yen (tax included). Please note that the "Watermelon Game" is required to play the 2-player mode.
The two-player mode is an offline mode, but an online mode will be released in the spring of 2024, allowing players to play together with other users via the Internet. If you purchase the "Watermelon Game 2-Player Mode Additional Pack", you will be able to use the "Online Battle Mode" after its release.
