The existence of game music is indispensable to games.
When you unexpectedly hear music from a game you played as a child, memories from that time vividly resurface, don't they?
The smartphone app "Nintendo Music," which features a wide range of titles from retro games that are difficult to play now to the latest games, was released on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
Music Streaming App "Nintendo Music" Released
On Thursday, October 31, 2024, "Nintendo Music" (App Store/Google Play), a music streaming app that lets you enjoy Nintendo game music anytime, anywhere, was released.
A wide variety of music from the vast number of Nintendo titles released so far is available!
In addition to individual songs, various playlists are available, including those by character, such as "Zelda" (The Legend of Zelda) and "K.K." (Animal Crossing); by scene, such as the start of the adventure or boss battles; and by mood, such as when you need a boost or when you want to relax.
A spoiler prevention function is available, allowing you to restrict the display of songs from registered game titles!
As expected from an official Nintendo music streaming app, their consideration for gamers is perfect.
One characteristic of game music is that many pieces are created with looping in mind.
For some songs, it seems you can change the loop length to 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.

One would expect such a luxurious service to have a hefty monthly fee...
But surprisingly, all Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can use it!
Of course, I assume everyone is already subscribed, so it's essentially unlimited Nintendo music for free.
Even if you're not subscribed, a 7-day free trial is available, so please consider a regular Nintendo Switch Online subscription!
Even just for unlimited music, the monthly fee of 200-300 yen (tax included) is well worth it.
