Sega Games announced the release of its latest numbered title, "Yakuza 7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness", on January 16, 2020.
The beginning of a new "Yakuza"
"Yakuza 7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness" will follow the series' history, but will also incorporate many new elements.
New protagonist
In "Yakuza 7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness", a new protagonist, "Kasuga Ichiban", takes over from "Kiryu Kazuma", the protagonist of the previous games in the series.

New battle system
The "Yakuza" series has been known for its "fighting action" combat system, but the new "Yakuza7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness" combines "fighting action" with an RPG command system. The new "Yakuza7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness" uses a new battle system called "Live Command RPG Battle", which is a fusion of "Fight Action" and RPG command system.

Set in Yokohama
In "Yakuza 7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness", the story takes place in Isesaki Ijinmachi, Yokohama.
The new story will take place in "Yokohama Isesaki Ijinmachi", which is more than three times the size of Kamurocho in Tokyo, the stage for the previous productions.
Star-studded cast of actors
The "Yakuza" series is famous for its many characters modeled after real-life actors.
This year's film also features a cast of actors who add to the story.
Shinichi Tsutsumi plays "Take Sawashiro", a young leader of the Arakawa clan of the 8th Omi Rengo
Namba, a homeless man in Isezaki Ijinmachi, played by Ken Yasuda
Masumi Arakawa, assistant young leader of the Arakawa clan and direct supervisor of the 8th Omi Rengo, played by Kiichi Nakai
Each of the characters is a duplicate of the model and reflects the "Yakuza" worldview.
Release date and price
"Yakuza 7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness" will be released on Thursday, January 16, 2020, for 8,390 JPY (excluding tax), and is rated CERO D for ages 17 and up.
The game will include a DLC equipment item "Majima Construction Set" product code and a raffle ticket for "Yakuza" collaboration brand goods as an initial bonus.
