"ACGHK 2025 (Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong 2025)" Kicks Off! A First-Day Photo Report from the Main Hall, Packed with Goods for Sale!

Event

ACGHK 2025, or Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong 2025 (香港動漫電玩節2025), which is being held from Friday, July 25, to Tuesday, July 29, 2025, has finally kicked off!
I went around the booths on the first day and will be introducing the main hall.

A Huge Success Even on a Weekday!

Saiga NAK

Although the first day was a Friday, it was a huge success with the venue overflowing with many visitors.

When You Say Games, You Say ROG!

Saiga NAK

This is the booth for the gaming brand ROG, from ASUS.

Saiga NAK

Surprisingly, ROG had two booths: a gaming device booth and a gaming smartphone booth!
You could try out the latest model, the ROG Phone 9.

Mercari Expands into Hong Kong!

Saiga NAK

A booth for Mercari, which boasts an overwhelming market share in Japan!

Saiga NAK

In fact, they announced their expansion into Hong Kong starting in May 2025. Cross-border transactions are also thriving in Hong Kong.
If Mercari can be used in Hong Kong, hobby, game, and other items that are only sold in Japan can be easily purchased from Hong Kong.

The Amazing Bandai Namco Booth!

Saiga NAK

Bandai Namco, which handles many hobby products, had multiple booths across various categories!
There was even a booth dedicated solely to Gunpla.

Saiga NAK

There was even a life-size (?) figure at the front of the booth! Many visitors were taking pictures.

Saiga NAK

So cool...!

Bandai Hobby

Saiga NAK

This is the Bandai Hobby booth.

Saiga NAK

Many products from popular IPs were on display.

Banpresto

Saiga NAK

At the Banpresto booth...

Saiga NAK

There were many figures from popular anime.

Saiga NAK

Of course, Dragon Ball too!

Saiga NAK

And Gundam heads!

Still More Popular Booths!

Saiga NAK

The booth for URDU x IDEAS TOYSUPERMARKET.

Saiga NAK

"Crayon Shin-chan" and "Chibi Maruko-chan" were also there.

Saiga NAK

This is a figure of just the upper body of Evangelion Unit-01, which is still under supervision.

Transformers

Saiga NAK

The popular Transformers.

Saiga NAK

Transformers Girls too!

Saiga NAK

Of course, it was also possible to purchase figures.
The good thing about ACGHK is that the main focus is on shopping.

The CSL Booth Also Had a Stage!

Saiga NAK

The booth for the mobile communication carrier CSL was also fully equipped with a stage.
When I stopped by, a Mario Kart event was being held.

Saiga NAK

Various campaigns were also held depending on the event.
A one-year subscription to Perplexity Pro that can be used in Hong Kong is a great deal...!

Saiga NAK

Norton for Gamers was also being sold.

Saiga NAK

There was an Xbox corner too! There was also a PlayStation corner.

Saiga NAK

Of course, you could also try out mobile games!

Saiga NAK

Next to it was the Honor booth. You could take photos like in a photo sticker booth or a passport photo booth.

Saiga NAK

The latest model smartphones, tablets, and laptop PCs were on display.
(A thin foldable smartphone looks nice...)

There's Still More!

Saiga NAK

At the booth for POCO, a smartphone manufacturer under the Xiaomi umbrella...

Saiga NAK

There were also cosplayers!

Saiga NAK

Monster Energy is a stable presence at anime and game events.

Saiga NAK

Just as I passed by the main stage, a concert by the Hong Kong VTuber Tsukishima Cross was being held.

Saiga NAK

Across from the main stage, there was a CGA booth, and various goods for Tsukishima Cross were on display.

Takara Tomy

Saiga NAK

"Haikyu!!," a popular volleyball manga and anime, was there.
This was the Takara Tomy booth, and "Haikyuu!! VOBACA!! Break," which will be released soon, was available to try out.

Phantom Playing Card

Saiga NAK

The Phantom booth was a collaboration with Moe Iori, a popular Japanese cosplayer.

Saiga NAK

Moe Iori was everywhere! I also covered the event on the main stage, so I will report on that separately!

Red Bull

Saiga NAK

At the Red Bull booth, "Red Bull Tetris" was on display.

Octopus

Saiga NAK

When you talk about the main payment method in Hong Kong, you have to mention Octopus. A commercial video that I've been seeing a lot in YouTube ads was playing on the stage inside the booth.

Saiga NAK

Recently, Octopus has been rapidly expanding its payment methods beyond IC touch card payments.
The compatibility between e-money and games is outstanding!

A Very Successful First Day! Expect Even More on the Weekend of the 2nd and 3rd Days!

Saiga NAK

On the main stage, there was also an idol concert. It's Asia's largest all-in-one event, with anime, comics, games, doujin, and cosplay!

That concludes the photo report of the first day of the "ACGHK 2025" main hall!
There are still many booths, and each one has a lot of content, so I would like to report on them individually!
