You can take classes directly from famous companies!
You can use the classrooms at Kyushu Sangyo University to watch lectures by companies you are interested in. The panels are labeled with the name of the company, the person giving the lecture, and the difficulty level of the lecture from beginner to dry, so that you can adapt it to your own needs. It is nice to be able to adapt to your own needs, such as "I'm interested but what if I can't keep up? What if I'm interested but can't keep up?
Some of the students were actually taking notes, so it really was like taking a class at a university! It made me realize how important it is to learn for your own future or to gain new perspectives.
You can try out some games at the Indie Game Corner!
At CEDEC+KYUSHU 2024, there was an "Indie Game Corner" where visitors could try out many indie games from various companies!
The booth was quite crowded, and it was a good place to really get a feel for the development of indie games, with titles that could be enjoyed by beginners and experts alike, as well as those that allowed visitors to experience the beauty of the visuals.
There were many types of games, from VTuber games to nostalgic dot-picture games.
Reika was fascinated by the cuteness of the dolls and tried "Rope-kun Adventure!
Reika was delighted by the gap between the characters and the system, which uses ropes to strangle enemies!
Mr. Reika: " He's cute, but what he's doing is so cruel! "
Cleared the game successfully!
The controls were more difficult than I expected, and I struggled with the movements, but the happy Rope-kun was too cute.
Rope-kun Adventure " is scheduled to be released in 2025. Please check it out!
Other than that, we were able to experience unreleased games using ZOTAC's gaming PC "ZONE" at this booth! This event is sure to be a must-attend for indie game lovers.
Books of interest were also on sale!
A wide range of books centered on the game industry were on sale, from game strategy books to reference books and business books. Business books are also available for those who don't know where to start reading, as they are limited in their fields.
Let's go to the next "CEDEC+KYUSHU"!
It is rare to have an event where you can meet and talk with people from companies, and I had the impression that most of the attendees were students! For those who are " interested but worried... ", there are a lot of pamphlets and gumboots at the booths to make people interested in the companies, so anyone can feel at ease.
The indie game corner was also a great place to try out games that have not yet been released, and the course provided easy-to-understand explanations of what the companies were doing, making it a unique experience! How about this as a reference for your job hunting and production?
