The Japan Esports Union, or JESU, announced the official selection of 29 members to represent Japan in the esports competition at the 20th Asian Games. Held in Nagoya over a 10-day period from September 23 (Wed) to October 2 (Fri), 2026, the 20th Asian Games will feature 13 titles across 11 events.

JESU selected candidates for the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and recommended them to the Japanese Olympic Committee. Following the certification process, JESU announced the participating athletes on July 15, 2026 (Wed). TEAM JAPAN for this tournament consists of 25 athletes and 4 coaches.
