Behaviour Interactive Inc. has announced the return of its terrifying Halloween event Haunted by Daylight for the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight.
The event will run from October 18, 2024 until November 8, 2024 at 12:00 AM (UTC), bringing with it the release of Tome 21: DOMINUS and a host of new collection events.
The Scariest Halloween Event Returns to Dead by Daylight!
Dead by Daylight’s most chilling annual event, Haunted by Daylight, is back once again.
Now in its third year, the limited-time event will run from October 18 through November 8, 2024.
This year’s edition promises even more content than ever before, including the release of Tome 21: DOMINUS and brand-new collections, ensuring a packed and festive Halloween season.
The Void Expands in This Year’s Event!
In 2024’s Haunted by Daylight, the number of portals leading into The Void has increased significantly—and once opened, they can no longer be closed.
Players must gather Void Energy to activate these portals, which can then be exchanged for newly introduced Void Items.
Both Survivors and Killers can acquire these items, which have the potential to completely shift the flow of a match.
Additionally, to heighten tension and pace, Killers can now use their unique powers within The Void itself, a first for this year. Players will need to master these new dynamics to gain the upper hand.
TOME 21: DOMINUS Dives Deeper into Castlevania
Launching on October 9, 2024, Tome 21: DOMINUS draws heavy inspiration from the legendary Castlevania series.
The new Tome features fresh stories, outfits, and rewards, with a particular focus on the acclaimed Nintendo DS entries.
Players will uncover memories exploring the past of Trevor Belmont and Dracula, as both attempt to recruit Alucard to their side.
Available rewards include:
- New Outfits
- Charms
- Banners
- Badges
All themed around Castlevania and gothic horror. Highlights include a Legendary Outfit for Trevor inspired by Soma Cruz, and the Dark Lord’s visceral Legendary Outfit, True Form, complete with its own Memento Mori animation.

During the Haunted by Daylight season, players will find a wide array of in-game cosmetic options to dress their favorite characters in perfectly spooky fashion.
THE VOID Collection
Launching alongside Haunted by Daylight on October 18, the THE VOID Collection introduces new cosmetics reflecting the eerie influence of The Void itself.
Characters featured include:
- Kate Denson
- Adam Francis
- Zarina Kassir
- The Plague (first Killer skin in this collection!)
HALLOWED BLIGHT COLLECTION
The fan-favorite HALLOWED BLIGHT COLLECTION returns on October 9, 2024, with grotesque, gruesome, and endlessly oozing new skins for:
- The Pig
- Good Guy
- The Deathslinger
TRICKS AND TREATS
Also launching with Haunted by Daylight is the TRICKS AND TREATS collection, featuring matching costumes for:
- Sable Ward (witch costume)
- Mikaela Reid (cat costume)
Additionally, Yun-Jin Lee and The Trickster will receive new Halloween concert-themed outfits.
