It has been announced that the HD-2D version of "Dragon Quest I & II" will be released on Thursday, October 30, 2025! The platforms are Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Microsoft Store. The Steam version will be released on Friday, October 31, 2025.

With the release of "Dragon Quest I & II," the Erdrick Trilogy, which connects the legend of the hero Erdrick including "Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation," will be completely revived in HD-2D.
