- Nippon Park Golf Association (Associate Member Organization)
- Japan Automobile Federation (Approved Organization)
- Japan Esports Union (Approved Organization)
At the Japan Sport Association's regular board meeting for fiscal year 2025, held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, it was decided that the three organizations listed above would become new members.
JeSU has organized the "National Prefectural eSports Championship" since 2019.
After being approved as a cultural program for the 2019 "Ikiiki Ibaraki Yume Kokutai," it has continued to be held until 2024.
The "National Prefectural eSports Championship 2025 SHIGA" is also scheduled for November 2025, and the tournament has grown into a large-scale event that attracts many esports players from all over Japan every year.
Furthermore, esports has been designated as one of the official events for the 20th Asian Games, scheduled to be held in 2026, and JeSU is working in cooperation with the Olympic Council of Asia, the Asian Electronic Sports Federation, and other organizations to select and dispatch Japanese representatives.
JeSU's affiliation with the Japan Sport Association can be considered a result of the evaluation of these various initiatives.
The debate over whether "esports is a sport" is gradually fading, and this event will undoubtedly be presented as a decisive argument in that discussion.
JeSU will continue to work toward improving the competitive ability of the Japanese people and spreading the spirit of sports through the promotion of esports in Japan, thereby contributing to the health of the Japanese people and the development of society and the economy.
