Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. has announced the establishment of " KONAMI eSports Academy, " a new brand for fostering e-sports talent among high school students. The new school will further evolve the lecture program that has been held under the name "esports Ginza School," and will aim to develop human resources who can play an active role in the e-sports industry.
What is the KONAMI eSports Academy?
KONAMI opened the esports Ginza School in 2020 and has been developing a curriculum for professional e-sports players while aiming for high school graduation as a support school for the correspondence high school "Daiichi Gakuin High School". KONAMI eSports Academy is a new brand specializing in human resource development for high school students by renewing the classes and extracurricular activities of the esports silver school.
Recruitment of new students for the 2024 academic year has begun!
Recruitment of new students for the 2024 academic year has started immediately. First, you can experience actual classes by participating in the open campus, which has been accepting applications since March 2023!
The most recent one will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a school information session, individual consultations, and a Fortnite experience class. The professional instructor will be Mr. Bear (@youris082), a member of the e-sports team "TEQWING e-Sports".
Professional e-Sports teams will be affiliated with the event!

Professional e-sports teams such as IGZIST, SCARZ, DetonatioN, FocusMe, TEQWING, e-Sports GHS Professional At the end of the school year, a joint tryout will be held for current KONAMI e-Sports Academy students and those who have completed the curriculum, giving them a chance to join a professional team out of the blue!
It was also announced that from the 2023 academic year, Rettuce (@Lettuce_14), a member of DetonatioN FocusMe, will be a new Fortnite skills instructor.

KONAMI, in cooperation with Animax's e-sports project "e-elements" and the professional e-sports team "GHS Professional," has formed the "KONAMI eUNITED High School Club," an e-sports team for high school students.
