Update Arrives for "NINTENDO 64 Nintendo Classics"! Rewind and CRT Filter to Be Implemented on June 5

An update will be released for "NINTENDO 64 Nintendo Classics," available to play with a "Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack" subscription, adding three new features.
The free update is scheduled for Thursday, June 5, 2025, the release date of the Nintendo Switch 2.

A free update for "NINTENDO 64 Nintendo Classics" has been announced.
The update will be released on Thursday, June 5, 2025, the release date of the Nintendo Switch 2, and will add three new features.

Rewind (Switch 2 only)

The update will allow players to rewind time a bit during gameplay, such as after a game over or a mistake. This lets you go back before the error and try again. This feature will only be available on the Switch 2.

CRT Filter (Switch 2 only)

The graphics will have the appearance of a CRT television, recreating the visual experience of playing on older TVs. CRT TVs smoothed the edges of pixels and blended colors, which many gamers find enhances the retro gaming experience. This feature will also only be available on the Switch 2.

View/Change Controls (Supports Switch and Switch 2)

This new feature provides much-needed functionality, allowing players to view controller button assignments and customize them to their preferences.
