On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, eplus inc. announced that it will become a consolidated subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment (SME) Inc. following a review of its capital structure. SME will hold 51% of e-plus shares.
Aiming to expand the entertainment market with unique live performances and events
Established in 1999, eplus is a company involved in ticket sales for music concerts, theater, and sporting events. The company explained that the revision of its capital structure is aimed at transforming eplus into a comprehensive live entertainment company amid intensifying competition in the ticketing business.
eplus will utilize SME's content and technology to maximize earnings for artists and collaborate with domestic and overseas companies to expand the live entertainment market. Credit Saison, which had also invested in eplus, has announced that it will promote the realization of its mid-term management vision through the expansion of services in the entertainment field.
