On Thursday, May 7, 2026, during the special program "Xbox Presents: A Special Look at STRANGER THAN HEAVEN" at 8:00 a.m., the first trailer for Yakuza Studio 's completely new title " The first trailer for " STRANGER THAN HEAVEN ", a completely new title from Yakuza Studio, was shown. The details of the main character and the scheduled release date of the title were also announced.

Xbox Presents: A Special Look at STRANGER THAN HEAVEN", a 30-minute special program, presented new information about " STRANGER THAN HEAVEN ".
Xbox Wire JapanThe first trailer was shown during the program and shows the main character, Makoto Daito, growing up in five different cities, including Kokura in Fukuoka, Hiroshima and Kure in Hiroshima, and Atami in Shizuoka.
Makoto's life is depicted over the course of 50 years in this title. Makoto was born in the U.S. to an American father and Japanese mother, and lost his parents at an early age. He faced many difficulties while growing up in Western society and came to Japan in 1915.
She then meets a slightly older boy, Yuu Shinjo, who is also of mixed race. He, too, aims to start a new life in Japan, and the two young men become deeply connected as best friends and rivals.
Unexpectedly, a splendid cast was released! From abroad.
The cast of this title has been revealed. The world's legendary hip-hop star Snoop Dogg (@SnoopDogg ) and his son, Cordell Broadus (@cbroadus ), will appear.

Tori Kelly and Satoshi Fujiwara will appear on the stage. Tori Kelly and Satoshi Fujiwara also co-wrote the theme song for the film, which was performed for the first time on the program.
Specially designed new combat system
A new combat system specially designed for this title has been adopted. The distinctive feature of this system is that players can control the true left and right sides of their bodies independently. It is possible to defend with one arm while attacking with the other.
A wide variety of weapon types are also available, ranging from basic weapons such as knives, hammers, and wooden hammers, to sword-like karma, and even new inventions in each era.
The release date is scheduled for winter 2026!
"STRANGER THAN HEAVEN" will be available on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, box Cloud, Steam and PlayStation 5 in winter 2026.
