The " DUALSHOCK®4 Rear Button Att achment" was released on January 16, 2020 and sold out immediately.
As I mentioned on Saiga NAK the other day, Sony Store will start selling the DUALSHOCK®4 again on February 5, 2020 (Wed.) at around 10:00 a.m. I logged in to Sony Store and waited for that moment, because I really wanted one.
Sold out right after the pre-order started
I accessed the purchase page of the Sony Store and waited for the time to come, but the "Add to Cart" link did not appear at all.
After a while, the display changed and said...
"We have reached our maximum number of items and are currently waiting for more. The message "The maximum quantity has been reached and we are currently waiting for your order.
The message "The product may be discontinued as it is.."
Rumor has it that the product was sold out right after pre-orders started, which shows how popular it is.
Unfortunately, I was not able to purchase one this time either....
However, if the DUALSHOCK®4 rear button attachment was sold out because people who really wanted it bought it, it would be understandable, but if you look at certain auction sites and flea market sites, you will see a large number of "DUALSHOCK®4 rear button attachments" being sold.
We hope to see a stable supply of DUALSHOCK®4 back button attachments in order to eliminate high resale prices. Keep up the good work! Sony!
