In the world of gaming PCs, where high specifications are demanded, it seems that CPUs and display resolutions are not much different among gaming notebook PCs from any manufacturer.
Recently, ASUS announced the "ZenBook Pro Duo UX581GV", which has a double screen, and this was very innovative.
HP's gaming brand OMEN has also announced the OMEN X 2S 15, a gaming notebook with two screens!
Second display on the keyboard
Behind the keyboard of the OMEN X 2S 15 is an IPS touch panel with a resolution of approximately 6" Full HD (1920 x 1080).
While the main display can be used for full gaming, it can also be used for game streaming services such as Twitch and OPENREC.tv, as well as chat services such as Discord.
The onboard control keys for the second display can be used to switch to the numeric keypad, switch windows, and so on.
More than sufficient specs for a gaming PC
The OMEN X 2S 15 may be a second display, but it also has perfect specifications for a gaming PC.
The CPU is an Intel® Core™ i9-9880H processor, the GPU is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 with Max-Q design, and the display is a 1920 x 1080 IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The chassis is equipped with "OMEN Tempest Cooling Technology" that uses a 12V fan module and three-phase motors with fluid dynamic bearing bearings. The fan module is equipped with "OMEN Tempest Cooling Technology".
The fan module is quiet and efficient in heat dissipation even during long hours of gameplay.
Release date and price
The OMEN X 2S 15 will be available in mid-September 2019.
There are two models available, the Extreme and Extreme Plus models with different storage and Optane memory, both priced from 399,800 JPY (excluding tax).
The lack of second-display laptops in the market tends to make them seem like a jumpstart, but once you actually hold one in your hands, you'll understand how convenient they are!
