LG Electronics Inc. has announced the 27GM950B-B, a 27-inch 5K resolution Hyper Mini LED gaming monitor, from its new LG UltraGear evo AI series equipped with AI solutions.
Pre-orders are open from Thursday, April 9, 2026, to Wednesday, July 1, 2026, with general sales beginning on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

LG Announces 27GM950B-B Gaming Monitor Featuring Hyper Mini LED!
The 27GM950B-B is a gaming monitor equipped with a 27-inch 5K resolution (5,120×2,880) IPS panel.
The next-generation display technology Hyper Mini LED reduces light leakage and suppresses the blooming effect that often occurs in high-resolution Mini LED monitors.
It displays clear, stable images, providing an overwhelming sense of immersion.
The 5K (5,120×2,880) resolution, which is equivalent to approximately 7.5 times that of Full HD, brings out game details vividly with a high-definition display of 218 PPI. It also ensures high visibility for document creation and coding.
The monitor covers 99% (standard value) of the DCI-P3 digital cinema color gamut, enabling natural color reproduction.
Supports VESA Dual Mode
It supports VESA Dual Mode and is capable of displaying at 5K (5,120×2,880) @ 165Hz or WQHD (2,560×1,440) @ 330Hz.
Users can choose to prioritize either resolution or refresh rate depending on the game they are playing.
AI Features That Support Gameplay
The monitor is equipped with the following three AI features to improve video and audio performance as follows:
- AI Upscaling: The built-in processor upscales low-resolution content to 5K resolution in real-time
- AI Sound Optimization: Optimizes acoustics based on the content, delivers sound effects like footsteps clearly, and corrects acoustics
- AI Scene Optimization: AI recognizes the displayed content and automatically adjusts major image settings to optimize the display
Features That Support Comfortable Gameplay
It supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro Technology and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, which suppress tearing and stuttering.
It has also obtained VESA AdaptiveSync Display certification, ensuring high refresh rates and low latency.
The monitor also includes features to assist gameplay, such as Black Stabilizer, which makes it easier to find targets lurking in the dark, and Crosshair, which displays a targeting point in the center to increase shooting accuracy.
Equipped with Abundant Connectivity
The monitor supports DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR 20), which provides high-speed data transfer while reducing noise and data errors during DSC compression for accurate video display.
It is also equipped with USB Type-C (USB PD max 90W), allowing for video output and power delivery by connecting a laptop with a single cable.
