Finally bought a DSDS-enabled BlackBerry KEYone (BBB100-7), so opening ceremony!

Review

Fangler is familiar (?) with the BlackBerry This time, I finally bought a BlackBerry KEYone (BBB100-7) with DSDS support.
This time, I finally bought a " BlackBerry KEYone(BBB100-7) " with DSDS support, so let's open the package!

BlackBerry with Android OS

I have been using BlackBerry OS10 for a long time, but BlackBerry KEYone is Android OS.
Since BlackBerry Priv became Android OS and DTEK50 and DTEK60 are also Android OS, BlackBerry OS10 is no longer adopted, and I hesitated to purchase it.

BlackBerry KEYone(BBB100-7) is DSDS(Dual SIM Dual Standby) compatible, and I always wanted to use DSDS, so I made up my mind to buy BBB100-7 when it becomes readily available, and to my surprise, I found a BlackBerry KEYone(BBB100-7 ) at Expansys recently. KEYone(BBB100-7) was on sale at Expansys recently, so I quickly snapped it up!

Unchanged BlackBerry quality

Saiga NAK

Here is the box. It looks the same as the past BlackBerry.
Did you notice it? The virgin sticker is the BlackBerry logo.

Saiga NAK

It says "BlackBerry KEYone".

Saiga NAK

When you remove the outer box, you will see "BlackBerry KEYone" embossed on it.

Saiga NAK

When you open the box, you will find a sheet that seems to protect the BlackBerry device.

Saiga NAK

Underneath are the earphones, USB Type-C cable, and AC adapter (EU spec).

Saiga NAK

Inside are the cables mentioned above, the manual, and the SIM pin for the SIM tray.
(I wonder if it is correct to call it a SIM pin...?)

Saiga NAK

There is a tutorial for the SIM tray on the back of the device. The device is dual SIM compatible, but MicroSD card cannot be used when dual SIM is selected.

Now it's time to start up the BlackBerry KEYone!

Saiga NAK

The BlackBerry logo and the words "powered by Android" are on the bottom.
This is the same as the Priv.

BlackBerry KEYone supports fingerprint authentication. The space key is used for fingerprint authentication.

Saiga NAK

Here it is. This is the space key.

BlackBerry is "BlackBerry Hub", right?
However, unlike the BlackBerry OS, the usability is a little different. Unlike the BlackBerry OS where you can swipe to return to the previous screen, it will take some time to get used to the Android back button.

Saiga NAK

When the SIM tray is removed, two SIM cards can be installed, both in nanoSIM size.
Both SIM sizes are nanoSIM. 4G/3G dual standby is supported, which is convenient.
The photo shows a Beeline nanoSIM from Russia and a China Mobile nanoSIM from Hong Kong. With this, I can go back and forth between Hong Kong and Russia as much as I want.

The customary BlackBerry comparison!

Saiga NAK

BlackBerry Bold9900, BlackBerry Q5, BlackBerry Q10, BlackBerry Classic, BlackBerry Passport, BlackBerry Prive, BlackBerry KEYone are compared.
They're getting progressively bigger...!
Surprisingly, the Priv with the keyboard closed and the KEYone are about the same size.

Saiga NAK

Comparing Priv and KEYone with keyboard out.
The size of the keyboard is about the same. But still, BlackBerry KEYone is so cool...!

Conclusion

It's been a long time since I opened the package! But BlackBerry is still cool as Android!
I'm used to Passport, so I'm going to be confused for a while, but it seems that no new BlackBerry OS device will be released, so I'll just have to get used to this one, so I'll do my best!
