在為E3 2019準備的Microsoft「Xbox E3 Briefing 2019」活動中，發表了面向Xbox One・PC的新型控制器「Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2」。
可自由定制的高級控制器
「Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2」是與現有Xbox無線控制器截然不同的世界頂級高性能控制器。
拇指搖桿和扳機的張力可調整，可以用調整到喜歡張力的搖桿來瞄準，並用短的hair trigger lock更快發射。
採用環繞橡膠握把，減輕遊玩時控制器滑動的擔憂。
可以更換搖桿和背面撥片的零件，為玩家定制最適合的控制器。
可以設定3個自定義配置文件，立即調出適合遊戲的按鍵配置。
設備連接採用Bluetooth連接。以往要無線連接PC需要另外準備2000日圓以上的「無線適配器 for Windows 10」，現在不需要適配器了。
電池從乾電池改為內置電池，完全充電後最高可使用40小時。
以往要使用內置電池式需要另外購買「充電電池」，現在這些都不需要了。
充電接口為USB Type-C，並附帶專用charging dock。
前代型號是micro USB，但新型號改為USB Type-C。Nintendo Switch也是Type-C，今後設備全面Type-C化的趨勢不會停止。
控制器本體、定制零件、charging dock都收納在一個附帶的攜帶盒中，攜帶也很安心。
遠征等攜帶設備時的收納盒是電競玩家的一大課題，附帶攜帶盒是令人高興的點。
發售日與價格
「Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2」預定於2019年11月4日在包含日本在內的24個國家發售，價格為USD 179.99。
Xbox的美國頁面已開始接受預訂。
對於遊戲手柄派的玩家來說，可以說是決定版的「Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2」的發售應該很令人期待吧。
