EVO Japan 2024, a fighting game festival held from Friday, April 27 to Monday, April 29, 2024, concluded with the Street Fighter 6 (hereafter "STO 6") tournament, with Bandits MenaRD as the winner!

Prior to the matches, it was announced that the world championship "CAPCOM CUP 11" would be held at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Japan, and a gameplay trailer for "Gouki," the fourth character to be added to the Year 1 lineup and scheduled for implementation in spring 2024, was also shown.
The audience's excitement reached a maximum level as Gouki's spectacular kills took the audience by storm!

The six players (names are based on start.gg ) will compete in the final round of EVO Japan 2024.
MenaRD is the leading contender for the championship. He has won the Capcom Cup 2017, Capcom Cup IX, and other official world tournaments, and has an outstanding record in Street Fighter 6, especially in the last year.
In the Winner's Final, Lexx faced off against MenaRD.
MenaRD's Blanka dared to challenge a matchup that is said to favor Guile. MenaRD's Blanka's attack outweighs Guile's high defense, and MenaRD wins the matchup.
The Ruizers Semifinal was a matchup of Japanese players.
A breathtaking duel between two masters. Any unnecessary moves by Ryukichi are instantly taken away by Kakeru.
Kakeru wins the matchup that could be called the match to decide the representative of Japan.
The next game was the Routers Final between Lexx and Kakeru. Kakeru was relaxed before the match, smiling and answering the cheers of the audience, and went on to win in straight games! Kakeru advances to the Grand Final.
Both fighters glaring at each other before the match. The same day, the "RIZIN" martial arts event was held in Ariake, and this event was no slouch either.
Both fighters were determined to fight to the last with their concentration heightened to the utmost limit!
MenaRD had the option to choose a rook, but he chose Blanca, who was in the flow of the game. She loses the first round, but with her typical offensive attitude, she takes the first and second rounds to take the championship.
Kakeru takes an interval after the overwhelming turn of events. The audience cheered for him.
Kakeru showed a different attacking style at the end, but MenaRD responded perfectly. MenaRD responded perfectly and won the tournament with his aggressive attack until the end!
MenaRD won the championship by dominating the strong players on the road.
It was very impressive to see MenaRD's aggressive fan service even outside of the EVO Japan 2024 tournament. Congratulations to MenaRD!
I know that Japan is the birthplace of Street Fighter and fighting games. I may have been born in the Dominican Republic, but I believe "MenaRD" was born in Japan. MenaRD" is Street Fighter itself. Thank you very much.
Q. How does it feel to be the first winner of EVO Japan?
MenaRD: I am more than happy to win in Japan, where the fighting game culture was born.
Q. There have been a lot of changes in the new version of "Sto6".
MenaRD: Of course the characters have changed, but I think it is more important to keep my mentality. I think one of the reasons I was able to win this year was that I was able to stay focused throughout the tournament.
Q. You dominated Kakeru in the Grand Final.
MenaRD: I lost to Kakeru in Saudi Arabia ("Gamers8") and Singapore ("CAPCOM Pro Tour 2023 Offline Premier Singapore"). He is a strong opponent that I remember even when I go to bed. But for EVO Japan 2024, I watched all of Kakeru's videos and practiced against him, so I was able to win.
Q. How did you feel about EVO Japan 2024 as a whole, being the largest EVO in history?
MenaRD: I think it's great how well "Sto6" is accepted in Japan. To be honest, I wasn't sure if I wanted to participate or not since the Capcom Pro Tour hadn't started yet, but now that it's such a big event, I knew I had to go, and the whole experience of the three days was impressive.
