An is a good player, so I was happy that I was able to respond well to her by being aware of how to set up a good form so that I could be ready for any moves she might make.

Q. It must be tough to keep winning first place, but what motivates you to keep winning?

Tomokun: I did my best because of the cheering voices and the desire to hold consecutive championships.

Yuki: My idol is Tomo-kun, so I wanted to win with him.

Q. What made you decide to compete in this tournament?

Tomo-kun: I am in my fourth year of university, and I was busy with various things, so I thought it would be okay not to compete, but I wanted to go to Saga with Yuki and win the championship, so I decided to compete.

Yuki: I entered the competition because Tomo-kun was my goal.

Q. You said that you adapt the way you stack Puyos depending on your opponent.

Tomo-kun: I can tell who is this type of player, or who is aggressive or defensive.

Yuki: If I play 10 games ahead of time, I can tell what kind of style my opponent has by the fifth game or so. But I don't like to win by taking countermeasures, and I want to win by continuing to play my own Puyos. This time, I really wanted to win, so I took countermeasures, but usually I want to win by continuing to play my own Puyos.
