LOL TOURNAMENT MSI 2024 LANDS IN CHENGDU: OFFICIAL SCHEDULE, FORMAT, AND QUALIFIED TEAMS

Riot Games has announced key details for the international tournament Mid-Season Invitational 2024 (hereafter, MSI 2024) for the PC game League of Legends.
Information on the tournament format, tickets, and more has now been revealed.

MSI 2024 will be held at the Chengdu Financial City Performing Arts Center in Chengdu, China.
Twelve teams that have advanced through regional qualifiers around the world will compete in the year’s first global event, running from Wednesday, May 1 to Sunday, May 19, 2024.

As a first for MSI, the champion team will earn an automatic berth to the other major international tournament, Worlds.
In addition, the runner-up region at MSI 2024 will receive an extra Worlds slot.
With so much on the line, this year’s event promises to be more intense and meaningful than ever.

The teams competing at MSI 2024 will include:

• LPL (2 teams)
• LCK (2 teams)
• LCS (2 teams)
• LEC (2 teams)
• LLA (1 team)
• CBLOL (1 team)
• PCS (1 team)
• VCS (1 team)

For a total of 12 teams.
As of the time of writing, Japan’s Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks Gaming (@esports_hawks) is still fighting through the PCS playoffs.
