Special Rules for Regional Champion Binding

STREAMER SHOWMATCH will be a sumoner's lift with special rules based on the LoL world setting. Players will face off against champions from the region drawn by lottery.

Saiga NAK

In the lottery, TEAM RAIZIN drew Shadow Isle and TEAM TAKAYA drew ZOUN.

Saiga NAK

Under this year's rules, the draw can be redrawn up to once. LoL has a complex world setting with 164 champions associated with more than 10 regions as of August 2023, but some regions have unbalanced fighting styles, which may disrupt team balance. Both teams with a certain balance of champions will go into the match without drawing back.

Saiga NAK

In one hour, the teams will be ready on the same stage where the final of the "LJL 2023 Summer Split Finals" will be played.

The match is about to begin! Team RAIZIN consists of Cursus, Viego, Karma, Miss Fortune, and Alistair. Team TAKAYA is Eight Rocks, Zack, Victor, Jinx, and Renata.

The top Cursus is a rare pick, but Zo Senpai is famous in Japan (and the world?) as one of the most famous Renata users. He is one of the most famous Renata users in Japan (or the world?). He immediately set off a one-sided attack that got the audience excited.

Saiga NAK

Even though it was an exhibition, the players were serious about LoL.

Team RAIZIN got two kills early in the match, but Team TAKAYA was not to be outdone and fought back. Within 10 minutes, Zerost had 5 kills, and with his improved level and equipment, he gained overwhelming strength.

Saiga NAK

After that, Zerost got 9 kills in 15 minutes and 13 kills in 30 minutes, leaving Team RAIZIN with no choice but to fight back. Team TAKAYA won the match!

Saiga NAK

It is no exaggeration to say that Zerost's Eight Rocks destroyed everything in the match. Team RAIZIN did what they could, but that didn't stop them.

Saiga NAK

" Zerost is the leader? Tanuki Ninja's calls (strategy instructions) were too strong, " said Takaya Special.

Saiga NAK

Raijin said, "I'm really sorry that I gave the kill to Eight Rocks. Stanmi Jappan said, "It was a complete defeat! But I'm satisfied because I beat Zerost at the end," said Stammi Jappan with a smile.

Saiga NAK

With this, the STREAMER SHOWMATCH came to an end! There was a lot of good play, and the audience was very excited before the final match. The 30 minutes went by in the blink of an eye!

Post-game interview

Saiga NAK

Immediately after the STREAMER SHOWMATCH, a press conference was held, where we were able to hear their impressions of the match.

- What did you think of the STREAMER SHOWMATCH?

Saiga NAK

Raijin-san: I used to play professionally, but I had never played in such a big venue before, so it was very fresh and interesting. I could feel the cheers from the audience with each play.

Saiga NAK

Stanmi Jappan: When I see the audience at tournaments and events, I sometimes feel the atmosphere of excitement and applause. So if you can raise the voltage of the venue as a prelude to a professional game like this one, you can show through the distribution that game tournaments are exciting to many people, so I hope you will continue to take this kind of measure in the future. Please invite us when you do! (laughs)

Saiga NAK

Zou Senpai: I have played matches at LoL events a few times, but I never thought I would be on the same stage before a professional match. I was afraid and honestly wondered if I would be able to handle it. But when I played, I could feel the excitement of the audience, and I'm glad I did it. I would like to participate in such an event again and help out in any way I can.

Saiga NAK

Haru Tachibana: I've been playing LoL and streaming for a long time, but I'm from a different world. But even so, I managed to practice more than 10 games every day, especially during the past week, so that I could convey the fun of LoL to everyone. I hope I was able to convey to everyone that LoL can be enjoyed by all regardless of your playing history or gender! I would be happy if I could convey to everyone that LoL is fun regardless of how long you have been playing and regardless of your gender. Thank you very much.

Saiga NAK

Nagisatchi: I usually watch LJL and go to offline venues, but I never thought I would be on stage, so I am very honored. I could sense from the excitement in the audience that everyone was looking forward to the offline tournament, and it was very moving to think that afterwards we would be sitting in the seats where the professional players would be showing us their battles. Thank you for this precious opportunity.

Saiga NAK

- How was the Shadow Isle in the area you drew?

Haru Tachibana: We even practiced with 5 players, but they didn't like Shadow Isle... (laughs) because we couldn't use Kallista and Thresh in the bot lane.

Raijin-san: But I felt the pressure from the audience that I absolutely had to pick cursus because of the senior elephant (lol) I thought I could manage, but I didn't.

Saiga NAK

- What did you think of the STREAMER SHOWMATCH?

Saiga NAK

SHAKA: I was nervous because until now I have often had the audience at about the same eye level as the stage, and this was the first time for me to perform surrounded 360 degrees by the audience on the second floor. It was fun. I don't remember what I did at all.

Saiga NAK

Takaya Special: Of course it was the first time for me to play in front of this many people. There was white noise coming from my headset, but when I played well, I could feel the cheers and enthusiasm of the audience. It was annoying to see them get excited when the other player was playing well! (laughs)

Saiga NAK

Tanuki Ninja: I think we had a lot of group fights in a relatively short time, so I think we were able to make some spectacular matches. I was happy to be able to participate in the LJL offline for the first time in a long time, having been a spectator until now.

Saiga NAK

Zerost: The last time I played LoL in a big venue was in the spring of 2017, and I was happy to be able to participate in LJL for the first time in six years, and as a streamer, not a pro. It was nice to be able to relax and play since I wasn't a player, but the pressure was on in a different way from about 15 minutes into the match lol.

Saiga NAK

Kane Kosugi: I was honored to have this rare experience. My teammates carried me and I was just riding the bus...it was a memory that will last a lifetime. I had been watching the LJL finals for a long time, and I never thought I would be a participant, so I was very happy.

- Zerost, please tell us about your feelings and the atmosphere of the team when you were active.

Saiga NAK

SHAKA: Me... I really wanted them to stop (laughs), but I didn't want to lose, and in LoL you can lose with the slightest chance, so I had strong teammates pulling me along.

Saiga NAK

Takaya Special: I thought I might have overdone it too much, but watching from the back, everyone was good at group battles, so I think that was the result.

Saiga NAK

Tanuki Ninja: I also thought Zerost might have been overdoing it during the game...but I was watching him thinking it was OK because I wasn't overdoing it...lol

Saiga NAK

Zerost: You should definitely use this place! In the middle of the game, I asked him if I was overdoing it. I asked if I was doing too much, and the three bad guys, SHAKA, Takaya Special, and Tanuki Ninja, said, "Do more! Take all our hate! "! Everyone was on their game. Anyway, that was the result of being told to "do more!

Saiga NAK

Kane Cosgis: I was too busy taking care of myself. When I looked at the scoreboard sometimes, I was surprised to see the great number of kills (laughs). When the group battle was over and everyone was leaving, I was fighting in front of them all the time... I just pushed them to their heels and left (laughs).

Saiga NAK

SHAKA: Indeed, when Tanuki Ninja was saying, "Let's go home," Zerost said, "No, it's still possible! We're not the only ones to blame. It's not only our fault.

Zerost: I guess I was a little adrenaline pumping too. Everybody's bad.

That's all for the "STREAMER SHOWMATCH" report! The comments from the streamers who have been involved in LoL-related activities for a really long time showed that they have "finally made it this far" and that they "want to make it even more exciting. I could feel their motivation to "make it even more exciting. As e-sports is gaining recognition and market size in Japan, it is important to have offline events that are like festivals!
