Riot Games was a surprising first-time exhibitor at "Tokyo Game Show 2025 (TGS 2025)," held at Makuhari Messe from Thursday, September 25 to Sunday, September 28, 2025, despite the event recording its largest-ever number of exhibitors. Riot Games is well-known for League of Legends and VALORANT, and its large booth featured a lot of content centered around the highly anticipated fighting game 2XKO.
Riot Games Booth Report!
While Riot Games has previously exhibited at EVO Japan and held various tournaments and events in Japan, this was its first time exhibiting at the Tokyo Game Show. Jinx, a key character in the anime series Arcane (streaming on Netflix) and a playable character in 2XKO, welcomed visitors.
While Riot Games develops and operates many titles, such as League of Legends, VALORANT, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra, the booth's main focus was the highly anticipated new fighting game, 2XKO. Although it is currently in the closed beta period, early access is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, Japan time. Season 0 is finally starting.
Many playable 2XKO demo stations were set up at the venue, and we were able to try out the Ahri-designed Razer Kitsune controller. It was fantastic.
Real Night Market
The Night Market from VALORANT was recreated in real life. Visitors could choose one of six cards to receive.
He received the somewhat nostalgic Forsaken Operator.
Spike Defuse Photo Spot
There was also a photo spot where you could defuse a real Spike prop.
Yunara's Spiritual Discipline Challenge
The Yunara's Spiritual Discipline Challenge was featured from League of Legends, themed after the newest champion to be released.
Perhaps he has already achieved enlightenment, as he seemed surprisingly good at it.
Vi's Punching Machine
Fujii Yodan took on Vi's Punching Machine, an activity that also appeared at the 10th Anniversary Fan Festival and ARCANE DAY, and became infamous when Stanmi Japan broke a bone while trying it in the past. Participants who achieved the High Score, 70kg or more, or matching numbers could receive original merchandise. So, what was the result?
Going straight in...
And knocking it out!
The results were 41kg on the first try and 40kg on the second. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough!
But he seemed to be having fun.
