On Friday, August 7, 2026, Capcom Co., Ltd. announced that it will donate 10 million yen as relief funds to Kumamoto Prefecture to aid victims and support recovery and reconstruction efforts following the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake.
Capcom will allocate a portion of the relief funds from sales of the esports tournament, Street Fighter League: Japan 2026 Pre-Season Division Showdown, which takes place on Monday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
The Street Fighter League: Japan 2026 Pre-Season Division Showdown serves as a prelude to Street Fighter League: Pro-JP 2026, which kicks off on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
Although it has the feel of an exhibition match, the winning Division will earn 1st Round HOME advantage rights for the Street Fighter League: Pro-JP 2026 Grand Finals.
Paid streaming tickets will remain available for purchase until 4:00 PM on Monday, August 24, 2026, and fans can access archived viewing after the live stream concludes.
