Coca-Cola Japan and “Pokémon GO” Form a Partnership!
Coca-Cola Japan has formed a partnership with Niantic, Inc. and The Pokémon Company, the providers of the smartphone location-based game app “ Pokémon GO.”
As a result, approximately 30,000 Coca-Cola vending machines across Japan will gradually appear as “PokéStops ” within the “Pokémon GO” app!
While collecting various items to use in the game, be sure to stay hydrated to beat the heat.
In the future, some of these vending machines are also scheduled to appear as “ Gyms.”
Additionally, a campaign is scheduled for September 2026 to award “Pokémon GO” original stamps to users who purchase products via Coke ON at approximately 150,000 vending machines nationwide—those displayed on the vending machine map within “Coke ON,” Coca-Cola’s official smartphone app that offers great deals and convenience.
We’re looking forward to this collaboration between “Coke ON” and “Pokémon GO,” both of which are celebrating their 10th anniversaries this year!
