Season 3, "DESTINED FOR REVENGE," of SNK Corporation's fighting game *Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves* (hereinafter *Fatal Fury: CotW*) will kick off on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
At the same time, “Rick Stroud” will join the roster as the first DLC character.
In addition, battle balance adjustments for existing characters are also planned.
"Rick Straud," the legendary champion nicknamed "The White Wolf," joins the fray on July 23!
"Rick Stroud" (hereinafter referred to as "Rick") first appeared in " REAL BOUT Fatal Fury 2," released in 1998.
However, he has not had the opportunity to reappear since then, and this marks his first appearance as a playable character in 28 years.
For many fans, this is a long-awaited return.

In addition to his signature explosive boxing action, Rick has evolved into a technical boxer skilled at reading his opponent’s moves, and he’s joining the roster of “ Fatal Fury CotW.”

The character trailer is available in both Japanese and English on SNK’s official YouTube channel.
The Japanese voice actor is Yasutaka Higashi, and the English voice actor is Alejandro Saab.
Fans familiar with the Rick of old will recognize his signature lines, such as the "Ura-ura-ura-ura!" shout during his flurry of punches and "GO! TO! HEAVEN!"—all of which are back.

Rick Straud’s story has been newly added to "EOST MODE" and "ARCADE MODE," where you can enjoy character-specific stories.
As a writer, I’m really looking forward to seeing just how much of Rick’s background—which wasn’t explored in depth in "REAL BOUT Fatal Fury 2"—will be depicted in Fatal Fury: CotW.
In addition to Rick’s addition, numerous other updates have been implemented!
A major update will be released alongside Rick’s debut.
The highlight is the battle balance adjustments affecting all existing characters.
In particular, attention is likely to focus on the adjustments made to Mr. KARATE, who was used very frequently in the competitive scene.
