Pocket Pair, Inc., the company behind "Pal World", announced the establishment of "Pal World Entertainment, Inc. The new company will promote the licensing business of "Pal World" in Japan and abroad, and will further expand its IP (intellectual property) rights. The domain name of the corporate website, pwe.jp, was acquired on July 5, 2024.
Collaboration with the Sony Group is also in the works.
SME and Aniplex, as you know, are part of the Sony Group, and the plan is to collaborate with the Sony Group, starting with SME and Aniplex. Through the cooperation with the Sony Group, PALWORLD Entertainment can also expect business development connected to the development of "PALWORLD".
Pocket Pair, Inc. will continue as an independent indie game company, but if a partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), the company behind PlayStation 5, is involved, the release of a PS5 version of "Pal World" is expected to be a possibility. We are looking forward to the release of "Pal World" for the PS5 version. Pal World" is currently available only on PC (Microsoft Store, Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
