When asked to name a character representing Japan that is loved around the world, the first name that comes to mind is probably " Sonic the Hedgehog.
It has been 31 years since Sonic the Hedgehog has been running at a supersonic speed, and his speed continues to accelerate rather than slowing down.
Sonic the Movie: Sonic vs. Knuckles," which is scheduled for release in Japan on August 19, 2022 (Friday), has quickly become a blockbuster hit overseas, surpassing its predecessor, and is already guaranteed to be a big hit in Japan. The newly released video is the IGN First teaser trailer for "Sonic Frontier".
It shows the latest gameplay footage of Sonic running around the ruins of the island where the game takes place, as well as the appearance of a mysterious presence that appears to be an enemy character.
I was wondering how it would look like since it is an open-world game, but it looks like it will have a strong "Sonic-like" sense of speed and freedom in the action.
The video is very short (less than 40 seconds), so I would like to see more, but "Sonic Frontier" will be released in the winter of 2022, so more information will be announced in the future!
