VALORANT, a tactical shooter developed and operated by Riot Games, Inc . This new chapter introduces a new agent, " Weiss," and offers players new strategies and challenges. A new skin series, "Nocturnum", will be released on Friday, August 30, 2024.
Characteristics of the new agent "Weiss
Weiss is a sentinel-type agent with the ability to manipulate liquid metal to isolate and tactically trap enemies.

| Sheer(Q) | Places a stealthy wall trap. When an enemy passes through it, an indestructible wall appears and disappears after a short period of time. |
| Laser Vine(C) | A laser spreads out from the installed nest, slowing the enemy's movement speed and inflicting damage. |
| Steel Garden(X / ULT) | Metal spikes erupt, temporarily disabling the enemy's primary weapon. |

Q. What were your goals and inspirations when developing "Vice"?
We started by preparing questions that could be answered by gameplay, with the roll as the main focus. For Weiss, we wanted to create a sentinel that had a countermeasure for space-hogging duelists, rather than mainly stalling them. In other words, an agent that would hurt aggressive players who jump in recklessly.
Q. How would you describe Weiss' style of play?
Weiss' flashes are more effective if they are pre-positioned, so at the start of the round we have a shot call on how to secure the area. Weiss is most effective when throwing a flush, so Weiss players must be willing to get their hands dirty.
Q. How do you think "Vice" will change the current meta?
Recent changes in the duelist ecosystem and the tendency of players to experiment with double sentinels have opened up new avenues of puzzle organization and approaches to the VALORANT map. With the addition of flash to the role of the sentinel, we hope that a wide range of configurations will continue to emerge as players theorize what tools to bring or leave in each map.
New skin series "Nocturnum"
The new "Nocturnum" skin series features fantasy elements that blend horror and beauty and includes the Phantom, Classic, Bulldog, Marshal, and the melee weapon "Scythe". The series includes custom kill banners, finishers, and a ritual that is unlocked each time a team of enemies is defeated.
With new episodes of VALORANT and a new agent named "Weiss," players will be able to use an even greater variety of tactics in their battles. A new skin series "Nocturnum" has also been introduced, adding a new visual dimension to the game. We look forward to the upcoming updates that will meet the expectations of our players!
