Mobile gaming has become the norm, with many PC and console titles now playable via cloud streaming. But a major concern remains: controls. Touchscreen-only input can be tricky, often leading to misclicks and frustration.
ASUS’s gaming brand, Republic of Gamers (ROG), has released the ROG Tessen Mobile Controller for Android smartphones, designed to elevate mobile gaming experiences.
The controller features an innovative ROG foldable hinge that allows it to collapse into a surprisingly compact form factor.
Rubber pads enable support for a wide range of smartphones, up to 7 inches in size and 7–14.5mm thick.
The smartphone connects via USB Type-C, with a 500Hz polling rate minimizing input lag, and supports 18W fast passthrough charging through the controller.
With responsive buttons, analog sticks, and a foldable design for portability, the ROG Tessen Mobile Controller hits Japanese stores on Friday, May 31, 2024. More details are available on the official product page.
