Danish gaming gear brand SteelSeries has announced the brand's first distribution microphones, Alias and Alias Pro. They will be available at electronics retailers nationwide and on Amazon.co.jp from Friday, October 20, 2023.
USB Microphone "Alias" and XLR Microphone + Mixer Set "Alias Pro
The two products announced this time are the "Alias" USB microphone and the "Alias Pro" XLR microphone + mixer set. With three times the number of microphone capsules compared to conventional models, these products enable broadcast-quality recording.
The Alias and Alias Pro are cardioid microphones , which are purely unidirectional, rather than supercardioid, which is the directivity of most distribution microphones. While not picking up extraneous sound, the cardioid microphone delivers enough depth of sound to allow the user to perceive distance.
The unique " Sonar " software allows for fine volume control and mixing. SteelSeries' proprietary AI noise canceling functionality also helps to reduce noise.
Alias condenser microphone with LED volume monitoring
Alias is a professional-grade condenser microphone that simply plugs into a device via USB. It has LED indicators on all sides to check volume level and mute status. It is stylish with a minimal dot design that is not too bright.
Alias Pro comes with a distribution mixer for even higher sound quality
Alias Pro comes with a customizable distribution mix er. The possibilities for use are endless, such as assigning background music volume control to the dial. Two USB Type-C ports on the back of the mixer support dual PC distribution.

SteelSeries' microphone for distribution, which was not likely to be available.
