Riot Games' Fighting Game "2XKO" Starts First Home Playtest! Available Until August 19

The first home playtest, the 2XKO Alpha Lab, for the free-to-play 2v2 team-based fighting game by Riot Games, 2XKO, has begun on Friday, August 9, 2024. Participation is limited to those with an invitation code, and the test will run from Friday, August 9, 2024, to Monday, August 19, 2024.

The target platforms are Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC, all of which support cross-play. The only condition for participation is possessing an invitation code for the Alpha Lab.

Participants can also provide a referral link to their friends, so make sure to try playing together!

Available Champions

The six champions available in the Alpha Lab are Ahri, Braum, Darius, Ekko, Illaoi, and Yasuo.

Implemented Stages

Four stages are available: Spirit's Hill, Bridge of Progress, The Brazen Hydra, and Scuttler’s Strand.

Casual Match

This is a lobby you enter by selecting "FIGHT!" and choosing Casual Mode, where you can match with other players to find a duo opponent.

During the Alpha Lab period, you can also form a team with a friend before entering the lobby.

Private Match

By selecting Private Mode, you can create your own room. The room comes equipped with a training area that you can use solo or with a duo partner, and you can invite up to 16 players from your friend list.

Customization

Skins, stickers, Chromas, and customizable avatars will make their debut in the Alpha Lab.

Avatars

Avatars can be used in the 2XKO lobby, and advancing the Battle Pass allows you to earn new customization options. We look forward to seeing more appearance customizations added in future versions.

Chromas

Character color changes are now possible, making it easy to distinguish between teams even if both teams choose the same champion. Customize your champion to your liking!

Emotes and Stickers

Avatars in the lobby have even more customization features! Not only can you use the Emote feature to add actions like cheering and a thumbs-up, but you can also display icons above your avatar's head using stickers!

Skins

Skins change the appearance of a champion. During the Alpha Lab period, you can unlock skins for Yasuo and Ahri for free from the Battle Pass.

Once skins are unlocked, they can be used on the champion selection screen in any match.

Battle Pass

The initial version of the Battle Pass is automatically unlocked for all Alpha Lab participants. Participants can earn the 20 levels of rewards available by playing the game or completing missions.

The Alpha Lab is a playtest open only to those with an invitation code. However, participants can also grant their friends the right to play via a referral code, so please enjoy it together!
