Activision Blizzard Co., Ltd. announced the worldwide release of " Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 " (hereinafter "CoD: MW4"), the latest installment in the popular " Call of Duty " series, on Friday, October 23, 2026.
This title, which marks the series’ return to Nintendo hardware for the first time in approximately 13 years, is available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Battle.net, Xbox on PC, and Steam.

The latest installment in the popular "Call of Duty" series , "CoD:MW4," is finally here!
"Call of Duty" is a first-person shooter (FPS) game featuring stories set in military operations and battlefields, as well as online competitive and cooperative gameplay.
"CoD:MW4" is the fourth installment in the "Modern Warfare" series, known for its realistic combat depictions and cinematic presentation.
It’s been nearly 13 years since “Call of Duty: Ghosts” was released on the Wii U in 2013—and now the series is back, available on the Nintendo Switch 2!

"Multiplayer Mode" lets you team up with players from around the world online to enjoy 6-on-6 battles against opposing teams.
A variety of game modes are available, ranging from modes where you aim to eliminate as many enemies as possible to modes where you compete to capture specific objectives.
Plus, 12 multiplayer maps will be included at launch!
Locations inspired by places around the world—such as South Korea, New York, Paris, and Mumbai—will be featured, allowing you to battle on stages, each with its own unique characteristics.
Since elevation changes and obstacle placements vary from map to map, it’s crucial to use the terrain and routes to your advantage!
Victory depends on a variety of strategies—such as choosing the right weapons and gear and coordinating with your teammates—as well as making quick, flexible decisions.
"DMZ Mode"—Take on the Challenge with Your Teammates
"DMZ Mode" is an escape mode where you infiltrate a dangerous conflict zone and aim to survive while retrieving supplies and completing missions!
Players can deploy solo or form a squad (small unit) with teammates, operating in ever-changing situations each time.
Various supplies and equipment are scattered across the field.
If you manage to bring them back, you can use them in your next mission.
On the other hand, you may get caught up in combat with other players or enemy forces, so it’s crucial to decide whether to gather gear or avoid combat!

The Nintendo Switch 2 version supports both Joy-Con 2 mouse controls and gyro controls.
