GLOE Corporation, as a partner of the Hakui esports city project for fiscal 2024 in Hakui, Ishikawa Prefecture, has announced the kick-off event Challenge Day 2024. The event will be held at LAKUNA Hakui (Kawahara-cho, Hakui, Ishikawa Prefecture) on November 4, 2024 (Monday, national holiday).

PR TIMESThe "Hakui esports city project" has been running in Hakui since 2022 to promote new tourism, improve health, and revitalize the city. We are holding hands-on events such as the Hakui eSports Festa, and contributing to the understanding and spread of eSports.
In July 2024, LAKUNA Hakui opened in front of JR Hakui Station and equipped a studio dedicated to e-sports. In order to further promote the project, GLOE Corporation was selected as the best proposal for the project in a selection process based on a public call for proposals.
"Challenge Day 2024" will be held in the main hall of LAKUNA Hakui, where visitors can try their hand at eSports with game titles such as Watermelon Game, Taiko Drum Master: Dondafuru Festival, Tekken 8, and Minecraft. In addition, the eSports Studio will be holding a hands-on event for eSports game titles such as FPS using gaming PCs.
Three of the day's experience projects are introduced below!

The e-sports experience session will be held with support staff, so beginners will not have to worry!
There will be several machines available for visitors to try out Watermelon Game, Taiko Drum Master: Dondafuru Festival, Tekken 8, and Minecraft, and visitors will be free to try them out. Each game title booth will have support staff on hand to help beginners enjoy the event!
The highlight of the event will be the original world of "LAKUNA Hakkui" prepared in Minecraft for this event. You will be able to explore the world and develop undeveloped areas.
Scoreboards will be set up at the Watermelon Game and Taiko Drum Master DONDAFUL FESTIVAL booths, so be sure to try to win first place at the event.
In the "Tekken 8" e-sports challenge, double players will make an appearance!

double, the top Tekken 8 player in Japan and the 3rd place winner at the Esports World Cup, one of the world's largest e-sports tournaments, will be at this event! This is a great chance to play against such a representative Japanese player who holds a JeSU-approved professional license for the "Tekken 8" division and is a strong player in the "Tekken" series!
Experience the e-Sports Studio with staff on hand!
At the eSports Studio, you can experience FPS and other eSports titles on a high-spec gaming PC! There will be staff on hand to help you create an account and learn how to play, so those who have no experience with FPS or are new to the game can enjoy the experience with ease!
