With the rapid growth of the esports market, securing talent capable of producing and managing events has become an industry-wide priority.
In response, REDEE Inc. organized an “Esports Seminar” on Monday, May 20, 2024.
The seminar offered students of the Esports Engineering Department at Kobe Institute of Computing an in-depth explanation of the esports industry structure and the entire process of planning and executing events.
The Realities and Challenges of Event Management
During the seminar, an event director and assistant director took the stage to discuss the real-world challenges of event management—focusing particularly on budget control, schedule coordination, and managing client expectations.
They also provided concrete examples of the skills needed to succeed in the esports field and how their own student experiences proved useful in their careers.
In the roundtable session, instructors shared their insights on:
- Case studies from past projects
- The key abilities required in the esports industry
- How to approach student life (with examples from REDEE Inc.)
Students were encouraged to ask questions and think through these topics together with the speakers, making the session interactive and engaging.
The seminar concluded with great success.
