The Fangler Games editorial team went to the second day of Tokyo Game Show 2021 ("TGS 2021") in Chiba, Japan, on Friday, October 1, 2021!
This year's event was a hybrid of an online venue due to the Corona disaster.
Compared to previous years, the scale of the offline venue was much smaller, but the powerful exhibits were not defeated by such adversity!
I will report on each of the featured booths, presentations, and playtests separately, but for this digest, I will report on the entire show!
Booths where you can try out the latest titles!
There were booths where you could try out big titles such as Namco Bandai's THE iDOLM@STER and SUPER ROBOT WARS...
Familiar faces of Koei Tecmo's titles!
There will also be space to try out KOF 15!
The KONAMI booth had eFOOTBALL 2022, Yu-Gi-Oh MASTER DUEL, Power Pro Kun Pocket R, as well as ...
There was also a very beautiful companion!
We also got to play Earth Defense Forces 6, scheduled for release in 2022!
LOST JUDGMENT, Shin Megami Tensei V, Demon Slayer, and other hot titles!
The Level-5 booth also displayed a figure of the megaton-class Musashi, which will start airing on October 1.
Incidentally, at the Capcom booth, visitors were able to try out MonHun...not MonHun, but Otomogaruku!
And some familiar game goods!
I was so dusted off by all the cute Minecraft goodies.
Apex Legends, and some rare Ghost of Tsushima goodies!
Spooky and cute performances and goods from Little Nightmare!
And gaming items on display!
IKEA had a stylish display of gaming furniture in black and white tones!
This is the kind of room I want to play games in!
ASUS also displayed a lot of gaming furniture!
BenQ Japan displayed not only high-performance monitors, but also a gaming projector!
School works and other oddities!
Bandan Game Academy's elaborate array of games...
There were so many high-level works that it was hard to believe they were made by students, such as the well-designed booth of Nippon Kogakuin!
There were also educational materials that allowed visitors to program Mega Man with their own hands...
There was also a booth where you could "experience riding a roller coaster" by moving your chair in time with the VR images!
There was even a booth where you could examine your brain waves during a game and analyze yourself in the game!
The Monster Energy booth was a cool yellow-green color!
TGS2021 filled with excitement and thrill!
How was the Tokyo Game Show 2021?
The number of booths was smaller than usual, and the TGS2021 offline venue was smaller than usual, but on the other hand, I got the impression that there were a lot of "intense" exhibits!
We will continue to update individual articles and reviews of each booth as we go along, so that we can report on all the fascinating aspects of each booth!
We plan to cover the third and final day of the show, so be sure to check out Fangler Games!
