Almost two weeks have passed since Tokyo Game Show 2024 (hereafter referred to as "TGS 2024"), but the excitement has yet to cool down. I have many vivid memories of the event, rather like it was yesterday. Among them, I would like to report on the ROG booth of ASUS, which had a rather spacious booth among device makers, following last year's event!
ROG booth covered with ROG
The ROG booth was covered in ROG. It may seem like an obvious statement, but while the booths of various companies tend to be biased toward one or two product categories, ROG's booth was covered in everything from PCs to PC peripherals, motherboards, and everything else ROG!
ROG Ally X, a synonym for mobile gaming PCs
Touch and try the "ROG Ally X", the successor to the "ROG Ally". ROG is in a hurry to release the successor to the "ROG Ally" within a year after the "ROG Ally" was just released last year...my wallet is screaming.
There were a variety of game titles available to try out, and "You can play any game comfortably on the Ally! ", and they are here to make a big appeal.
The "ROG Phone" is a gaming smartphone!
The "ROG Phone" gaming smartphone on display. The phone comes with a gamepad attached, allowing you to play popular smartphone games and even AAA titles via remote play.
A gaming Wi-Fi router that's tough as nails!
The ROG Rapture GT-BE98, a gaming Wi-Fi router with advanced VPN functionality and Wi-Fi 7 support, was on display. The inside of the router was stripped bare, and we were surprised at the simplicity of its structure. The router has dual 10Gbps ports and a quad 2.5Gbps port, making it perfect for high-speed connections. As you will see when you use it, it can deliver 1 Gbps even on Wi-Fi.
However, it costs about 140,000 yen! However, despite its high price tag, it is very difficult to obtain. Oh, and of course, it glows.
Gaming Laptop
ROG's gaming laptops (gaming notebook PCs) are also highly regarded. "Honestly, how is gaming on a notebook PC? " you may be thinking. Of course, it depends on the specs of each PC, but it can be used not only for mobile use, such as using a desktop PC with high specs for games and a cost-effective gaming laptop for the distribution side, but also for space-saving use. (Saiganac also uses a home-built PC + ROG notebook PC for distribution.)
Graphics cards are also made by ROG!
ROG brand graphics cards (video cards) are also very popular, and above all, they look cool. It is a must-have for all gamers who are particular about what they can't see.
Next to the graphics card is a ROG NUC! I want one...but they are so popular that I can't afford one....
By the way, please note that NUC is pronounced "nack", not "nook". I always say "NUC".
Motherboards everywhere!
As ASUS fans may know, ASUS has the largest motherboard market share in the world.
Motherboards are supposed to be invisible in a conventional PC case, but recently, with the advent of glass panels, design has become more and more important. ROG motherboards are now works of art that you would want to display.
Gaming environment covered with ROG
Now let's experience the ROG environment.
The keyboard and mouse are all ROG, as is the microphone.
ROG has been producing headsets, but microphones have not appeared on the market for a long time, so I was very happy to see this. By the way, the white one is cute.
The PC case and motherboard are also ROG.
The much talked about AR glasses "AirVision M1 Glasses".
I don't remember seeing this gadget before. Glasses? Sunglasses?
I'm sorry, I'm not sure. Mr. Reika: "Are you sure about these? "
Actually, these are AR glasses. The game screen you're playing appears in real life.
Mr. Reika: "Wow! There you are! "
The game screen is right in front of you, but...
It's projected in front of you, so your eyes are looking at the front, not at the gaming PC. It's a surreal picture for those who don't know what's going on.
The ROG booth was a big success again this year! Online booth report!
This is a report on the ROG booth! If you were unable to attend the event, please check out the online booth report on the official ROG Japan YouTube channel!
I would have liked to have experienced more of each product line, but the "2024 Autumn/Winter Monitor New Product Preview" was held later in the day, so I went to enjoy that as well. Please check out and for more information on the "2024 Fall/Winter Monitor New Product Preview."
