Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. announced it will hold an esports tournament, The 3rd TOKYO METRO CUP OVERWATCH 2, for the team-based action game, Overwatch 2.
The preliminary rounds will be held online on Sunday, December 1, 2024, and the main tournament is scheduled to be held at esports Style UENO in Ueno, Tokyo on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
This tournament is an event where players of all skill levels can participate. A live broadcast on YouTube and a live viewing event are also planned.
The 3rd TOKYO METRO CUP OVERWATCH 2 Announced!
The 3rd TOKYO METRO CUP OVERWATCH 2 is an esports tournament in which 128 teams, consisting of 5-7 players per team, will participate.
The preliminary rounds will be held online on Sunday, December 1, 2024, with the winning teams from each block advancing to the main tournament.
The main tournament will be held at esports Style UENO in Ueno, Tokyo on Saturday, December 7, 2024, where up to 60 spectators can watch via a live viewing event.
The tournament will be streamed live on the Tokyo Metro e-Entertainment Channel, and commentary will also be provided by well-known game streamers.
Participants can enter for free, and great prizes will be prepared for the top winners.
Entries are being accepted from Wednesday, October 16 to Sunday, November 17, 2024, and the organizers will assist with team formation through Discord.
