"Zengakukaku" Set for August 24! Entries Now Open

The fighting game division of the "National High School Esports Championship" (commonly known as Zengakukaku) will be held again this year.
This tournament, aimed at high school and university students across Japan, is scheduled for intense competition with Momochi of the professional esports team "Shinobism Gaming" as a commentator.

Victrix controllers and other generous prizes have been prepared for the winners. Entries are currently being accepted, and attention is focused on this tournament where students from all over the country will compete.

Zengakukaku will be held at the Kindai University esports Arena on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
Entries are being accepted from Friday, July 26, to Wednesday, August 7, 2024, and are open to high school and university students nationwide.
Participation is free, but participants must cover their own travel and accommodation costs to the venue.

Professional gamers and esports commentators will be invited to provide commentary on the matches and enhance the event.
Frieda will be the caster, with Momochi and Fujimura appearing as commentators, while MIKKE and Mochizuki Ukaru are also scheduled to participate as event ambassadors.
The tournament will also be live-streamed online.

The rules of the tournament are as follows:

  • Format: A tournament of 32 players selected by lottery from across the country
  • Game Title: Street Fighter 6
  • Match Format: Single elimination
  • Game Type: 1 vs 1
  • Rules: Round 1 to Semifinals are BO3 (First to 2 games), the Final is BO5 (First to 3 games)

What Is Zengakukaku?

The "Zengakukaku" is a CAPCOM-authorized esports tournament for high school and university students nationwide.
It aims to promote the social status of esports and the development of player training environments in schools. Through the tournament, it is also expected to popularize the educational benefits of esports and discover new esports players.
