Premiere of "Unreal Engine 5" Running Video on PS5!

News

"Unreal Engine" game engine developed by Epic Games
From Unreal Engine 1 in 1998 to Unreal Engine 4, the latest version of the Unreal Engine, many games have been created using the Unreal Engine.
Even if you don't know the name "Unreal Engine", you may recognize the "U" logo that appears when you start up a game.
The "Unreal Engine" has evolved to meet the needs of next-generation game consoles such as PS5 and Xbox Series X. Unreal Engine 5, the next generation of the Unreal Engine, was unveiled for the first time!
We have released a video of it running live on the PS5!

Super beautiful video by "Unreal Engine 5"

This video is "Lumen in the Land of Nanite", a real-time demo running live on PlayStation 5.
In the video, Epic Games' Graphics Technical Director Brian Karis and Special Projects Art Director Jerome Platteaux demonstrate the virtualization and micro-polygon geometry that is a feature of Unreal Engine 5. They explain the "Nanite" micropolygon geometry and the "Lumen" fully dynamic global illumination solution.
Even if you don't understand the technical details, the beautiful images are so realistic that they seem more realistic than live-action images.
I thought it was beautiful and smooth enough for the PS4 and Xbox One, but I can't wait to see what the PS5 and Xbox Series X can actually do with this level of visuals!
