Nintendo has added two classic titles—Balloon Kid and Yoshi—to Game Boy Nintendo Classics on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Two new titles arrive on ‘Game Boy Nintendo Classics’
Balloon Kid and Yoshi have officially joined the Game Boy Nintendo Classics lineup.
Both titles are now available starting February 4, 2026.
Balloon Kid
Originally released in 2000 for Game Boy Color via the NINTENDO POWER game rewrite service, Balloon Kid is a side-scrolling action game.
Players control Alice as she floats through the sky using balloons, chasing after her younger brother who has been blown away by the wind.
Dodge obstacles like birds and flying fish while progressing through each stage, or test your endurance in Balloon Trip mode, where the goal is to fly as long as possible without hitting any obstacles.
Yoshi
Originally released in 1991 for Game Boy, Yoshi is an action puzzle game starring Mario.
Players guide Mario at the bottom of the screen, sorting falling characters onto trays and matching pairs vertically to clear them.
Stacking two halves of a cracked egg causes Yoshi to hatch, rewarding players with a high score.
Game Boy Nintendo Classics is included with a Nintendo Switch Online membership, priced at ¥2,400 (tax included) for 12 months.
