The Japan Game Awards 2021 Grand Prize is the W award of "Ghost of Tsushima" and "Monster Hunter Rise"!

The Grand Prize winners were announced at the Japan Game Awards 2021 "Annual Awards Category" presentation event hosted by the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA), the official program of the Tokyo Game Show 2021 Online.

Of the 10 games selected for the Japan Game Awards 2021 Annual Awards for Excellence, two won the Grand Prize this year!


  • Ghost of Tsushima

  • Monster Hunter Rise

This is the first time in seven years since the 2014 Japan Game Awards that two games have won the Grand Prize.
(The two award-winning titles in 2014 were "Monster Hunter 4" and "Yokai Watch".)

Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima, an action-adventure game developed by Sucker Punch Productions, was highly acclaimed by many users who were impressed by its beautifully rendered Japanese setting, history, and worldview.

Monster Hunter Rise

This is a new work that has created a new style in the series with a different setting and a different atmosphere from the previous Monster Hunter series. Some said the new elements were interesting and easier to play than past titles.
